Leonardo Gambini
Leonardo Gambini
Leonardo Gambini (born 1994) lives in Milan. He began to be interested in the world of art at an early age as his father was himself a creative: he worked in the fashion world and painted out of passion. He graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and there he developed his artistic language and thought, also thanks to his approach to contemporary art. He moved from two-dimensional to three-dimensional, from figurative to minimalism.
He began his artistic career at a very young age with street art in 2008, using the pseudonym “Tunus” and achieving considerable fame.
His original realistic style has over time given way to a more personal conceptual vision.
The artist began a rich and diverse, yet always coherent, production: the main and recurring elements are energy, light, space, minimal and geometric shapes.
The shapes intertwine like letters in a complex script and evoke associations with the greats of Italian abstraction: a dynamic network of intertwined and connected signs.
His style is reduction. It is the icon that repeats itself, changes technique, changes space but always remains itself.
