Alvise Pi

Alvise was born in a small town in the Paduan countryside. Fascinated since he was a child by Hip Hop culture and graffiti, he searches for a sign, like those he saw on the street, that could be traced back to him. From the experiences told through a camera in recent years he focuses on a series of portraits. Through a mechanism of dialogue between shot and memory, the works appear blurred, with various facets and intensities. The works of the ‘Ricordi’ series are all developed with the medium of spray and with small additions of sign made in pencil or pastel to resume the origins of his artistic career. All the works on display aim to ensure that the observer himself can see or relive in these blurred portraits people close to him or memories of the latter.
